About

Welcome to my GarouMUSH website, reorganized as a blog. I’ll be reposting old logs, artwork, and resources for players of this interactive text-based roleplaying community which was founded in 1993.

There are three kinds of logs here.

  • Dino logs, whose chief value is in memorializing characters that would otherwise be forgotten. These can be a bit spammy.
  • Sepdet and friends logs, which tend to be personal interaction logs.
  • Great RP and Big Event logs, which are fun and/or exciting logs.

I’ve tried to tag posts with characters that play some part or have some characterization moments, but I’m a bit inconsistent in whether I decide a character has a big enough appearance in a log to be worth a tag. Use the search box to search for ALL examples of a character.

So who is this Sepdet person?

I first applied in late ’93, but didn’t get into the game until February ’94. I was active through 2002, then began to fade out due to real life commitments and elder burnout. I played Sepdet, a twinky yet much-loved Strider Seer metis.  My secondary characters included Swipes-at-Salmon (Red Talon), Glissa Nicholson (Human), and NPCs Sekhmet, Hollytoe and Ibis of Western Eye, and Marlowe the Ananasi.

Sepdet started out as a 12-year-old metis I had not expected to become a senior member of the sept. She quickly became Groundskeeper, served for years as Strider Elder, was alpha of two packs and a member of four, and had a brief stint as Gatekeeper. Her first pack, Renaissance, was a disreputable coyote pack of the city. As time passed, she pulled away from the city and devoted herself more and more to the caern and its umbra. She was close friends with the Wendigo elder, Joseph Soulcatcher, and a student of the Uktena elder, Eligio Sacateca. She was also trained and tested as a Harbinger, confirmed by Anubis at the Wheel of Ptah in 1996.

This site is lovingly dedicated to all the wonderful Garou whom Sepdet fought beside, and to the honored dead — especially Dusty, Toxic and Chloe — whom she misses.
