Visionquest with Peyote

This is a hard-to-read log. You may want to skip it. It’s more preliminaries for the “Who Dreams the Dreamers” plot.

Summary: Eligio Sacateca, Uktena theurge who would become a great friend and mentor to Sepdet, guides her, Dia (her best friend at the time), and another theurge on a mescalito visionquest to try and unravel the riddles being sent to them in dreams. Short version: they don’t get any answers, they just learn a song to help them focus and not be overwhelmed when the visions come to them.

I debated editing out all the poses but the visionquest, but there is some good character stuff, including Stormcrow the Gatekeeper terrorizing a lot of new arrivals — Swipes, Dylan, Therru, Hazmat — and dropping poor Hazmat into the pool.

Sepdet looks down into the shimmering pool, contemplating her reflection.
The landscape shimmers, and you are through.
Around the Pool
The inscribed Wheel continues, running past a small pool of clear water just inside the outer line.  The ground on the Wheel is rough, with uneven patches of grass sprouting here and there in defiance of the countless generations of feet that have trod this path.  On to the north is the firepit, and back to the west is the windy spot.

Sepdet appears in a glimmer of light.
Dia scans the Wheel, and moves towards the Fire pit. She pulls out a walkman as she goes, and sets the headphones firmly on her head.
Dia heads into the center.
Dia has left.
At the center, Dia heads northeast to the fire pit.
On the eastern curve, Walks-In-Malls continues along almost dancing as she moves.
Near the Fire Pit, Dylan gravely considers the new arrivals.
In the Windy Spot, Eligio Sacateca is sitting cross-legged by the windy spot, working turquoise beads on a gold wire through his fingers.
Sepdet rubs her temple tiredly, takes three deep breaths, then nods to all here.
Alexis says “Sepdet, hello. You wanted me?”
Near the Fire Pit, Dylan nods courteousely to Walks-In-Malls.
Jeremy whuffs to Sepdet.
Near the Fire Pit, Therru ducks her head respectfully to the wolf she does not know.
Dia pages: hey, give me a break=) misunderstanding, arguning with Hecate, and generally not sleeping….kinda makes for a bitchy Dia.
Jalal whuffs to Sepdet, then nods his head.
Huntress chuffs quietly to Sepdet, and nods her head.
Sepdet hooks her thumbs in her pockets, standing rock-still and looking almost amused at herself as she gets her bearings. “Um.”
On the northern curve, Stormcrow emerges from the thin treeline to the north.
Near the Fire Pit, Dia settles away from the fire, staring angrily into it. Faint music can be heard through her headphones as she blasts her ears out.
Sepdet lifts her chin. ~Ah. I need to ask you more about the Dancers following you.. .everything you can remember. But not now, I’m afraid. Eligio-yuf and we are holding a Rite.~
On the Earth Mound, Walks-In-Malls chuffs at Stormcrow and continues, her white fur glittering in the firelight.
Swipes watches the bustle of activity quietly, ears flicking.
On the Earth Mound, Walks-In-Malls follows the Wheel past the Earth Mound.
Alexis says “What kind of Rite? Can I help?”
At the center, Hazmat looks around to see what’s going on.
Near the Fire Pit, Dylan considers Dia seriously.
On the northern curve, Stormcrow scowls and glares around the Caern, eyes fixing interestedly on his Tribesmate at teh Windy Spot.
On the northern curve, Stormcrow heads into the center.
Sepdet mutters ~Peyote.~ She assesses Alexis quietly, with a quirk of a smile. ~I think not, friend.~ She looks towards Eligio thoughtfully.
On the western curve, Walks-In-Malls follows the Wheel to the Windy Spot.
In the Windy Spot, Walks-In-Malls nods. Here. So are you. Begin.
At the center, Hazmat blinks up at Stormcrow.
At the center, Stormcrow grimaces and spares Hazmat a glance before striding on to the Windy Spot.
At the center, Stormcrow heads southwest, to the spot where the winds swirl.
In the Windy Spot, Stormcrow crosses his arms over his chest, surveying the two there.
At the center, Hazmat looks around and pads over to the pool, seeing someone she knows there.
At the center, Hazmat heads southeast to the pool.
Hazmat has arrived.
In the Windy Spot, Walks-In-Malls chuffs to the elder theurge, dipping her muzzle briefly.
Jalal turns himself toward Stormcrow, tilting his head to the Gatekeeper.
In the Windy Spot, Eligio Sacateca smiles at the wolf. ~Very well, Walks. In a moment.~ He turns to his elder, ~Welcome back, Stormcrow-rhya. I was beginning to fear for you.~
Near the Fire Pit, Dylan looks across at the windy spot.
Sepdet spirals carefully around the caern, touching the Table Stone carefully as she passses, until she reaches Eligio.

Near the Pool, Hazmat pads over to Alexis.
You head from the heart of the Wheel to the southwest, where the winds swirl.
Windy Spot
Something here serves to direct the air — perhaps the stately trees rising around the rim of the clearing, perhaps the smooth slab of granite beneath your feet. But no matter the cause, a wind stirs unendingly here, swirling against your back like cool fingers. Behind you, an earth mound rises starkly from the ground. Forward, a glint of light off water catches your eye.

Stormcrow nods, ~The concern is, then, appreciated. Might I ask what goes on here?~
Near the Pool, Alexis seems content to not participate in the rite this time. ~Hello, Tipper.~
Near the Pool, Hazmat woofs. Hello. I’m hungry.
Near the Pool, Swipes woofs. Tipper-of-Can. I have fish here. Fresh. Please, eat.
Eligio Sacateca says, ~I told you of the dreams I had before I came here, Stormcrow-rhya. I was able to push them back with everything that has been going on. But now, of late, my sleep is troubled by images I cannot control. I seek answers.~
Near the Pool, Jalal speaks in a low voice to Huntress, motioning with his snout toward the Fire Pit.
Near the Pool, Hazmat drools, and thanks Swipes. Yum, fish.
Walks-In-Malls chuffs. I add to his will and help.
From afar, Dia giggles, and renames Renaissance Power Rangers. Dia = Pink Ranger, Tep = Green Ranger, Tox = Blue Ranger, you = Black Rnager..
Stormcrow nods, ~Gaia’s strength to you, then. Both of you. We will speak later.~
Near the Pool, Hazmat wags her tail and quiets the hole in her belly with fish.
Walks-In-Malls chuffs. Yes.
Long distance to Dia: Sepdet ags.
Eligio Sacateca says, ~Thank you, elder. Sepdet? Walks? Dia? Are you prepared?~
Stormcrow nods again before moving back toward teh center
Stormcrow heads into the center.
Stormcrow has left.
Sepdet nods tiredly at Stomcrow-rhya, then back to Eligio. ~Ready.~
Walks-In-Malls chuffs and then shifts…
Walks-In-Malls contorts and blurs as she is transformed.
Walks-In-Malls shifts into Homid form.
Near the Pool, Hazmat sits on her haunches and licks her chops, having made short work of Swipes’ fish. Thank you.
At the center, Stormcrow heads northeast to the fire pit.
Near the Pool, Swipes’s tail lifts cheerfully. A small gift, for a good caern. Where is Brutus-yuf, do you know?
Eligio Sacateca asks ~Is Fire-Drums here to help or watch? She seems…distracted.~
Near the Fire Pit, Stormcrow points a finger at Therru, ~You.. will come with me.~
Near the Fire Pit, Dylan nods respectfully to Stormcrow
Near the Pool, Hazmat doesn’t know, Swipes.
Near the Fire Pit, Therru looks severely intimidated. She gets to her feet.
Near the Pool, Jalal watches Therru quietly as she moves.
Near the Pool, Huntress turns slightly to watch the goings-on.
Near the Fire Pit, Stormcrow scowls and turns to Dylan, peering intently at him, ~You as well. Come along, the both of you.~
Sepdet looks worriedly towards Dia, considering.
Near the Fire Pit, Therru shifts from foot to foot, involuntarily glancing at Dylan and Jalal and everybody else she knows, hoping for some clue as to what is the correct behavior.
Cindi sits down cross legged and removes a staff from her purse.
Near the Fire Pit, Stormcrow heads into the center.
Near the Fire Pit, Dia presses fast forward on her walkman, and then stop. Pop – Jazz can be heard coming from her headphones.
Near the Pool, Hazmat wonders how Swipes managed to get such good fish.
Near the Pool, Swipes-at-Salmon notes that it is her specialty, after all.
You paged Eligio Sacateca with ‘Dia’s had enough bad experiences with Cindi to dread RP with her so much she’s hiding. (I share dread, but not enough to flee. ;)’.
Near the Fire Pit, Dylan nudges Therru reassuringly but uninformatively.
At the center, Stormcrow stops by the Table Stone and turns slowly to watch the two behind him, waiting for them to follow.
Dia pages: her headphones are up to high to hear anything..help me out IC?
Near the Fire Pit, Therru follows, placing her feet carefully.
Near the Fire Pit, Therru heads into the center.
Near the Fire Pit, Dia watches Stormcrow, Therru and the new person with faint curiousity.
Near the Pool, Jalal nods to Therru.
Eligio Sacateca pages: Enough of this will be separate visions I think you can tell her it won’t be a problem.
You paged Dia with ‘Eligio says each of us will mostly be getting separate visions, so not to dread Cindi taking over. ;)’.
Near the Fire Pit, Dylan cocks his head on one side, and shifts to homid as he heads into the center.
Near the Fire Pit, Dylan contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Near the Fire Pit, Dylan heads into the center.
Near the Pool, Huntress pads around for a few minutes before finally settling down. She curls up, watchs teh scene for a bit, and slowly falls asleep, the tip of her tail flipping over t=her nose.
At the center, Dylan shifts into Homid form.
At the center, Stormcrow nods and turns, heading for the poolside.
At the center, Stormcrow heads southeast to the pool.

Near the Pool, Jalal backs respectfully away from Stormcrow, tilting his head to him.
Sepdet kneels down before Dia, worried dark eyes studying her with a mute question.
Dia hmms.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow points to Hazmat and Swipes, ~And you two, up with them.~
Near the Pool, Therru watches Stormcrow respectfully with her good eye, standing well out of reach.
Dia speaks low to Sepdet.
Dia whispers “What.”
Near the Pool, Hazmat blinks.
Dia presses a button on her walkman.
Near the Pool, Hazmat stands up. What?
Near the Pool, Swipes hops to her paws at ones, tail dipping brisquely.
Near the Pool, Swipes at once, that is.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow scowls, meeting Hazmat’s eyes with an icy gaze, ~Do as I say. Stand with the others.~
Near the Pool, Hazmat cringes slightly and moves over toward Swipes.
You whisper “~Can you stand with us, tonight? The Rite is now.~” to Dia.
Near the Pool, Dylan tucks his hair back behind one ear.
Near the Pool, Swipes bumps Hazmat’s shoulder with her nose, as if to say, not unkindly, stand up straight, young one. This is your elder.
Dia nods to Sepdet, and stands. She waslk to the others.
Dia heads into the center.
Dia has left.

[[ED NOTE: From here on, I'm going to put non-rite poses in italics, and the rite in dark red. ]]

Dia keeps an eye on Stormcrow’s little party until her rite begins.
Near the Pool, Jalal stands a proper distance away from the line of Garou, watching quietly.
Near the Pool, Therru stands very still, with her head bent so the scarred side of her face is tucked into her shoulder.

Eligio Sacateca looks at the three others in the windy spot.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow says, ~I, for those of you who don’t know, am the Gatekeeper to the Wheel Renewed. I am He-Weeps-Blood, called the Stormcrow, Alpha of the Ghostrunners and Eldest Theurge of the Uktena. It is to me that you must introduce yourself and, since I don’t care to chase you all down, you will do so now. Understood?~~
Eligio Sacateca says, ~Mescalito is a spirit, though the Garou know little of him. Some of my people call him Peyote, but we prefer to call him Mescalito. Mescalito is a teacher, and a protector. He can teach many things. I would like to ask him to teach us about dreams.~
Cindi nods, looking up. “An interesting patron. I’d been wondering whenn I’d make his acquaintance.”
Near the Pool, Therru flinches, and nods.
Near the Pool, Swipes nods, pleased to see the Gatekeeper at last, and answers promptly. Swipes-at-Salmon, Half Moon Red Talon.
Near the Pool, Dylan nods, concealing a very small smile.

Eligio Sacateca says, ~Learning about Mescalito is a very serious act. You must know your heart, your intentions must be pure as new fallen rain. Mescalito requires a very serious intent. Are you prepared for this?~
Near the Pool, Dylan says, ~Dylan, half-moon of the Stargazers.~
At the center, Yvette heads southeast to the pool.
Eligio Sacateca looks at each in turn.
Jeremy pages: Ack, you guys are gonna do peyote? :)
Near the Pool, Yvette watches from off to the side.
Near the Pool, Swipes adds of the Caern of Blue Ice, from north. A traveller, resting on long journey.

A voice fills your mind. Dia remarks “I don’t know ’bout this Star….ya sure *I* should be here?”
Near the Pool, Stormcrow nods to the Talon, ~Well met. Do you seek Guest Right?~
Near the Pool, Hazmat flicks her ears. I have been called Can-Tipper, of the Bone Gnawers.
Cindi looks thoughtful, her gaze turned inwards. After a time, she nods.
Near the Pool, Therru says ~I am Therru. I have no moon or tribe. I came here from Caern of Hidden Hill in Los Angeles, because they did not want me.~
Sepdet straightens her shoulders. ~Sepdet D’SiaH.~ She repeats her name almost as an answer unto itself, voice quiet and clear. ~Yes, I am prepared.~
Eligio Sacateca’s eyes bore into Dia. ~And you, Galliard?~
Dias eyes look vacant, angry expression firmly welded onto her face.

Near the Pool, Stormcrow holds up a hand to the others as his attention focuses on Swipes-at-Salmon, ~Do you seek Guest right? If you do not you may pass through the Wheel, but yu may not stay.~
You whisper “You are Fire-drums. And Eligio-yuf thinks you will stand the best guard of any of us here.” to Dia.
On the northern curve, Hecate emerges from the thin treeline to the north.
Dia smirks faintly “I don’t think my intention ‘re ‘s pure ‘s Star here, but ‘m Dia Fire-Drums, ‘n ‘m ready.”
Near the Pool, Swipes shakes her head. I seek rest, for a few days, and then I will be gone. I offer whatever Chiminage you deem appropriate.
Near the Pool, Hazmat refrains from asking what ‘chiminage’ means.
From afar, Dia stiffens as her eyes rest on Hecate. Her face turns stone cold.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow nods and turns to the next, Hazmat.
Eligio Sacateca nods to her. ~Let Mescalito, then, be the judge of your intentions.~
Dia nods faintly, face stone cold now.
Eligio Sacateca holds out a handful of buttons. Like wood, varied in size and shape. He passes them around. They feel like the soft wood of cork with a dark brown colour like nut shells.
Near the Pool, Hazmat looks uneasy. I have been named Can-Tipper by the others here.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow grimaces briefly, ~I take it you are a Bonegnawer..?~
Near the Pool, Hazmat has heard so.
On the northern curve, Hecate pads, quietly, out of the woods towards the center.
On the northern curve, Hecate heads into the center.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow says, ~And you were taken by the Sept? Or do yu come from another Caern as a visitor?~
Near the Pool, Hazmat blinks. The one with the fragile claws brought me here from the man-place.
At the center, Brutus walks back in from the forest.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow nods curtly and turns next to Therru.
Near the Pool, Therru says ~I am Therru. I have no moon or tribe. I came here from Caern of Hidden Hill in Los Angeles, because they did not want me.~
Near the Pool, Hazmat looks at Stormcrow as if expected a blow at any moment.
Near the Pool, Therru adds ~If you want my former name, I will give it to you.~
Near the Pool, Stormcrow arches an eyebrow in interest, ~No moon or tribe, is it?~

Eligio Sacateca says, ~We will each take six of the buttons. We will ask for Mescalito’s help. The rest is up to us.~
At the center, Brutus heads southeast to the pool.
At the center, Hecate sits back on her haunches next to the table stone, inobvious in her attempts to avoid looking towards the activity at the windy spot.
Near the Pool, Therru shakes her head. ~I do not know either. I do not know when I was born.~
Eligio Sacateca casually takes the first and places it in his mouth. He slowly begins to chew it.
Dia pages to Brutus, Hecate, and Sepdet: Those who are watching see Dia look briefly at Hecate. Hecate doesn’t meet her gaze, and Dia begins studying the ground very closely, hiding the defeated look.

Near the Pool, Stormcrow snorts, ~We’ll see about that. You will seek out Desert of the Stargazers. Tell him of yuor problem. He can help you sort it out.~
At the center, ShadowDancer pads in and settles by the table.
Near the Pool, Jace appears in a glimmer of light.
Near the Pool, Therru nods, intimidated.
At the center, ShadowDancer hears Stormcrow and heads toward him.
Sepdet scoops the peyote buttons in her hand, eyes shutting tightly as she draws a sharp breath. Six. She reaches across to touch the knife bound on her wrist quietly, smiles at the answering flash, and slips the first under her tongue.
Near the Pool, Jalal turns his head toward Brutus, lowering his muzzle.
Cindi mentally calculates and then nods once. “It will be as Gaia wills it…”
At the center, ShadowDancer contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
At the center, ShadowDancer shifts into Lupus form.
Near the Pool, Jace nods to everyone.
Near the Pool, Jace follows the Wheel north past the Pool.
Near the Pool, Brutus nods to Jalal.
On the eastern curve, Jace follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Near the Fire Pit, Jace circles the Wheel, arriving from the eastern curve.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow turns finally to Dylan.
Cindi takes the pills and consumes them, the peyote tasting sour.
Near the Pool, Brutus says, ~Jace?~
Near the Fire Pit, Jace takes a seat and looks into the fire.
Dia follows suit, slipping the first button quietly under her tongue, chewing it slowly.
Near the Pool, Brutus heads into the center.
Near the Pool, Dylan says, ~Dylan, half-moon Stargazer. I come to learn, and to offer what service I can to this sept until I set out alone as my teacher did before me.~
At the center, Brutus heads northeast to the fire pit.
The button has a stale taste, that quickly gives way to a pungent bitterness. In a moment your entire mouth becomes numb. Like chewing wood, the button slowly gives way to shreds in your mouth.
Near the Fire Pit, Jace sighs.
Near the Fire Pit, Brutus says, ~I think I should talk to you…~
Near the Pool, Dylan inclines his head respectfully.
From afar, Cindi has had this in RL. Not nice stuff.
Sepdet looks a little startled at the fuzzy spikes at the center of each mescalito button, but her taut brown features quickly smooth as her breathing slows and deepens.

At the center, ShadowDancer heads southeast to the pool.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow nods, ~And do you seek guest right?~
Near the Fire Pit, Jace looks up, his eye glittering and says quietly, “I think you have a little ezplaining to do…”
Near the Fire Pit, Brutus raises an eyebrow.
Near the Pool, Hazmat keeps watching Stormcrow.
Near the Fire Pit, Brutus says, ~Perhaps we should talk someplace less crowded.~
Near the Pool, Dylan considers. ~I do not know what that is.~
Near the Pool, Jalal watches Brutus and Jace, his expression impassive.
Near the Fire Pit, Jace nods and slowly stands up.
Eligio Sacateca begins a slow, methodic chant, liquid sylabbles spilling out of his mouth.
Near the Fire Pit, Brutus says, ~Cave.~
Near the Fire Pit, Brutus heads into the center.
Near the Fire Pit, Jace heads into the center.
At the center, Brutus heads north, away from the center of the Wheel.
At the center, Jace heads north, away from the center of the Wheel.
On the northern curve, Brutus turns to the north, and leaves past the rim of the Wheel.
On the northern curve, Jace turns to the north, and leaves past the rim of the Wheel.
Eligio Sacateca takes a drink from a bottle of tequila, swirls it around in his mouth. He spits it and the shreds of the peyote out into an old soup can. He passes it to Sepdet. “Don’t swallow it. Use it to rinse your mouth,” he warns.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow says, ~If yu wish to remain here, you must retain guest right. By accepting it you accept all privileges and obligations that go with it. If you do NOT accept Guest right, you will move on by morning.~~
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer catches the scent of tequila and looks in the direction of the windy spot
Dia smiles faintly as she watches her heart-sister through veiled eyes. Quickly, her mirth is squleched.
@doing Dancing the edge of danger for my caern

Set.
At the center, Hecate’s eyes flick to the windy spot again, lighting first on Sepdet, then on Dia. She takes a halting step or two closer, then sits again.
Near the Pool, Dylan gives Stormcrow a small, one sided smile. ~Then, I presume, I wish to retain guest-right. May I ask what privileges and obligations it entails, that I may be sure not to do ill?~
Sepdet takes the bottle in both hands and follows Eligio’s actions quietly, stiffening at the punch of drink and drug.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow nods, ~You will respect your superiors and their commands. You will honor those who are true members of the Sept and you will honor the Totems of the Sept as is their due.~
Eligio Sacateca starts the short song again, and repeats it again and again. He takes the next button while waiting for the others to finish with the bottle.
Near the Pool, Dylan bows his head. ~This much have I done, and will continue to do. I could do no less in a place such as this, in any case.~
Near the Pool, Stormcrow nods again and turns to Therru, ~Do you seek Guest right?~
Near the Pool, Swipes listens respectfully to the Gatekeeper with tail at half-mast, eyes almost wistful. She inclines her head. Were she here only for a night, this she would do.
At the center, Hecate sits still, watching towards the windy spot, eyes veiled.
Eligio Sacateca hands each of you several dry pieces of fruit. Figs, perhaps though it is hard to tell with your mouth so dry. With the numbness in your mouth they are tasteless and difficult to swallow. He does the same with dried meat. Jerky.
Dia mothodically takes each peice, chewing them. Her eyes are half – closed, trained on the ground.
Eligio Sacateca the pattern is repeated five times, with five more peyote buttons each, over the course of the next while. Between buttons, Eligio continues to sing the short song in a strange language, repetitive and haunting.
Cindi watches Eligio, her eyes wide and curiously focused. She takes the tequila and rinses the shards of peyote from her mouth with it before spitting it out.
Sepdet shivers as she takes the fruit and jerky from Eligio, head tilted back slightly and eyes quivering mostly shut. Each time her hands are free, her left hand goes back instinctively to rest on the hilt of her moon knife.
Cindi takes the fruit and the dubious looking meat, focusing on them briefly before consuming them. She allows her mind to be drawn into Eligio’s chant as she tries to find its meaning…

Near the Pool, Therru ducks her head ~I will accept,~ she says hoarsely.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow nods, ~So be it.~
Near the Pool, Stormcrow, apparently finished, turns to nod to Shadowdancer as he sits by the poolside.
Near the Pool, Dylan stands still for a moment longer, considering Stormcrow.
Near the Pool, Dylan heads into the center.
It is hard to say just when reality took on this peculiar perspective. The air shimmers with life. The water in the pool has become thick and glossy, like syrup. The light plays across its surface in slow motion like silvery fish swimming through treacle.
At the center, Dylan circles the wheel, heading back toward the fire pit.
At the center, Dylan heads northeast to the fire pit.
Near the Pool, Therru follows Dylan.
Near the Pool, Therru heads into the center.
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer whuffs up at Stormcrow. Worried.
At the center, John Black brushes some greenery aside to emerge into the Caern.
Near the Pool, Hazmat sits down and scratches at a fleaitch that’s been /killing/ her, keeping an eye on Stormcrow.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow arches an eyebrow, ~About what? Dreams?~
At the center, Therru ducks her head respectully to the others.
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer nods.
Near the Pool, Swipes nods, then collects the fishbones carefully and carries them out into the woods to be buried.
Near the Pool, Swipes follows the Wheel north past the Pool.
On the eastern curve, Swipes heads east, back into the forest and away from the Wheel.
At the center, Therru heads northeast to the fire pit.
Near the Pool, Jalal pads wide around the group of Garou, toward the Center.
Near the Pool, Jalal heads into the center.

Dia shakes her head a bit, and seems to be looking for something. She gets a faint smile on her face as she looks about.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow nods, giving the ragabash an amiable slap on the shoulder, ~Everything will be taken care of, but yu do well to worry. We’ve taken our time. It’s time to move.~
Near the Fire Pit, Therru sits down crosslegged, examines her feet briefly, and stares into the fire.
Near the Pool, Hazmat finishes scratching and pads over to her tribesister Alexis.
A large hunting cat with tawny fur and bright, cruel eyes pads into the caern from the forest’s edge on wide, silent paws. It walks right up to you, throws back its head and lets loose with a loud, snarling cry.
On the southern curve, Oscar comes in from the woodland to the south.
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer nods. Just tell me what to hunt down. I’m ready.
Near the Pool, Yvette heads west, back along the Wheel’s path.
On the southern curve, Oscar stretches and yawns.
At the center, John Black heads southeast to the pool.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow smirks slightly, ~Tomorrow.. sharpen your claws.~
On the southern curve, Yvette walks over nonchalantly and smiles, “Hey, Oscar, how’re you?”
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer grins. You got it, Boss.
Sepdet flinches like she’s been struck in the face, then tentatively holds out her arms to something invisible before her face.
On the southern curve, Oscar shrugs and pats his stomach. “O.K. Man, that place has some awesome grindage.”
On the southern curve, Yvette says, “So… where were you?”
On the southern curve, Oscar inquires, “Pardon?”
Near the Pool, Stormcrow smiles and nods, sighing wearily, ~I suppose I should prepare myself as well.~
On the southern curve, Yvette walks over close to Oscar.
Cindi shivers once and then looks about. She inhales sharply, looking worried/puzzled.
Near the Pool, John Black bows formally to everyone. He sees the newcomers and introduces himself. “John, Fire-on-Strokes. Philodox Fianna Cliath. Former Alpha of Stroke City pack.”
Near the Pool, Hazmat makes a sudden growly noise and starts scratching again.
At the center, Jalal turns his head to gaze at the stranger on the southern curve, raising his muzzle slightly.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow turns swiftly to scowl at Hazmat, ~You want to get rid of those?~
Near the Pool, Alexis says, ~Tipper, are you okay?~
The graceful animal circles you with short steps. Watching with cold eyes. Your vision has narrowed to a tunnel.
On the southern curve, Oscar smirks, “Nature called, honey.”
Near the Pool, Hazmat wurfs. Tried to last night. They came back.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow shifts, the soft popping of realigned muscle and bone heralding his shift to Glabro.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow grunts, ~Don’t roll around in garbge and dog shit.~
At the center, Hecate takes another two steps closer to the pool, again settling back on her haunches and watching, silently.
Near the Fire Pit, Dylan watches Stormcrow and Hazmat with interest.
On the southern curve, Yvette quirks her brows, “Don’t call me that.”
Near the Pool, Hazmat flattens her ears. Been in this place all day. Don’t know the way back to the man-place.
On the southern curve, Oscar shrugs. “Whatever. What’s up?
Near the Pool, Stormcrow stands and strides smoothly to stand over the ‘Gnawer. ~Well, then…you obviously didn’t take care of the problem.~
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer sniffs at the mutt.
Sepdet visibly keeps her shoulders from shaking, and her wide bright eyes continue to stare blindly at nothing.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow grins toothily, ~But I will.~
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer steps back. Fleas. Ick.
Near the Pool, Hazmat flattens herself against the ground and growls.

Dia takes a few steps back, a knive suddenly in her hand. She stares at the pool, eyes wide.
Near the Pool, Jeremy peers at Sepdet, somewhat worried.
On the southern curve, Yvette says, ~I think we cubs should stick together.~
Eligio Sacateca senses “Sepdet murmurs in spirit speech /Honors, Guardian…/”
Near the Pool, Lightning swift the Uktena dips to snatch at the ‘Gnawer’s ruff with both hands and heaves, pitching her out over the pool.
Near the Pool, Alexis says, ~Stormcrow, what’ve you got in mind?~
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer laughs, rolling on his back in amusement.
On the southern curve, Oscar starts, “Uh, what’s up with the one by the pool?”
Near the Pool, Alexis blinks. “Why’d you do that?”
Near the Fire Pit, Therru puts both hands over her face – her left over her one eye, her right over the scars and the empty socket – and scoots backward into the shadows.
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer grins. Fleas drown, silly.
Near the Pool, Hazmat yelps loudly, legs scrabbling in thin air, and lands in the pool with a >splash<

The cat throws back its head again and snarls. The eyes are less cold, but the fur on this animal seems alive like tiny snakes. ~What do you ask of me?~
On the southern curve, Song Weaver comes in from the woodland to the south.
On the southern curve, Song Weaver heads into the center.
On the southern curve, Yvette glances at the Pool, “I have no idea…”
Near the Pool, Stormcrow slaps dust from his hands, surveying his work, ~Because she reeked.~
Dia moves to a defense position, moving herself in front of Sepdet, on the balls of her feet. She watched, eyes blank, something from the pool.
At the center, Jalal wags his tail a little, lowering his head to Song Weaver.
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer sniffs.
On the southern curve, Yvette chuckles. “Getting rid of Tipper’s fleas.”
Near the Pool, Alexis says “Well, she could use a bath, yes.”
At the center, Song Weaver chuffs a short greeting to to Jalal. She seems tense and irritable, more than usual.
At the center, Song Weaver heads north, away from the center of the Wheel.
On the northern curve, Song Weaver turns to the north, and leaves past the rim of the Wheel.
Near the Pool, Hazmat scrambles out of the pool, coughing and growling, snorting water out of her nose.
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer nods. Yep. Purest water I’ve ever seen. If that don’t cure her, she’s never gonna be cured
On the southern curve, Oscar grins, “Shall we?”
Sepdet’s numb lips move brokenly, and her shoulders relax slightly although surely Dia is not all she sees.
Dia snarls, a low growl emitted from the back of her throat.

Near the Fire Pit, Therru rocks slowly back and forth, without taking her hands from her face.
On the southern curve, Yvette says in a low voice, “Shall we what?”
Near the Pool, Stormcrow opens his satchel, deftly freeing a small earthenware jar from within.
On the southern curve, Oscar says “Go over and be sociable, of course.”"
Near the Fire Pit, Dylan moves closer to Therru, without touching her.
Near the Pool, Hazmat shakes herself and pads over to Alexis, growling at Stormcrow irritably.
At the center, Stefan heads north, away from the center of the Wheel.
On the southern curve, Yvette shrugs, “I was already sociable.”
On the northern curve, Stefan turns to the north, and leaves past the rim of the Wheel.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow snaps, ~Don’t.~
Near the Pool, Jeremy watches the ones in the windy spot cautiously.
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer whuffs cheerfully at the mutt. Heya, kid. He’s aburupt, but he does the job. I works.

You whisper “I ask… I ask what warning the dreams give. The wheel of fire, the bird-spirits pulled away? Whence comes the danger, and how can it be stopped.” to Eligio Sacateca.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow points a finger at Hazmat, ~Don’t shake.~
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer grins some more.

Near the Pool, John Black squints at the figures on the Windy spot, then looks at the people around the pool.
On the southern curve, Oscar cackles. “You’re not being sociable, eh?”
Near the Pool, Hazmat already has, too late.
On the southern curve, Yvette holds up her hand, palm faced toward you, and closes it into a fist, “Not right now.”
At the center, Jalal glances at the cubs to the north again, then returns his attention to the Windy Spot.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow scowls at the now less wet ‘Gnawer and points back at the pool, ~In.~
Near the Pool, Hazmat snaps. Make me.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow quirks an eyebrow, ~Excuse you?~
Near the Pool, Hazmat flattens her ears.
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer tilts his head at Stormcrow. Sounds like she’s a new one.
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer looks at the pup. Want me to handle it, Boss?
On the southern curve, Oscar sighs, “Well, I am feeling sociable. You don’t haveta go if ya don’t want to.”

Cindi pages to Dia, Eligio, Sacateca, and Sepdet: Sorry, this is a bit loud/distracting. Can we move?
Near the Pool, Hazmat continues to stare in hate at Stormcrow.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow loses any vestige of mirth he retained, ~I think you’d better. I’ll take her fleas off, fur and all.~
On the southern curve, Yvette stands between you and the pool, and says, “I said that I think us cubs should stick together.”

Cindi mumbles something indistinctly. The language is not that of the Garou, nor her native english.
At the center, Hecate, finally, seems to come to a resolution. She rises to all fours, then trots towards the windy spot.

Near the Pool, Alexis says, ~I’ll swim with you, if you want company.~
At the center, Hecate heads southwest, to the spot where the winds swirl.
Hecate has arrived.

On the southern curve, Oscar looks at Yvette, “My awful fiesty tonight, aren’t we?”
Dia snaps her jaws, and flings her arms over her face, knives slicing at the wind. Her face is contorted in rage as she tries to stab at something in front of her.
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer pads toward Hazmat. Gotta choice, kid. Either get in the water with Lexy, or we decide who’s bigger and meaner.
The cat rumbles, ~Those things aren’t mine to tell, little one.~ It steps forward and nuzzles your head. ~In here, the answers are.~
Near the Pool, Hazmat presses against Alexis, body trembling with cold and anxiety.
On the southern curve, Oscar looks over at the Windy spot, “Uhm. Whats with her? She need help or something?”

Hecate circles around the gathering, moving to stand behind Sepdet and Dia. ~Kids,~ she chuffs. ~S’shrooms. Fucked yaz up. Gotta let it go.~
Eligio Sacateca pages to Dia and Sepdet: Suggestions for where to go?

On the southern curve, Yvette concentrates, staring at Oscar intently.
Near the Pool, Hazmat glances at ShadowDancer.

Cindi smiles at something and nods.
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer shifts into Hispo form.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow shifts, the soft popping of realigned muscle and bone heralding his shift to Crinos.
On the southern curve, Yvette contorts and blurs as she is transformed.
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer rumbles at Hazmat. Swim.
On the southern curve, Yvette shifts into Crinos form.
Near the Pool, Hazmat flattens herself against the ground. It’s cold.
Near the Pool, Alexis says, ~You’d better do it. Stormcrow is very insistant.~
On the southern curve, Yvette rumbles darkly at Oscar, ~Shift. Now.~
Near the Pool, Stormcrow’s hackles flicker up his back as his eyes turn to the windy spot.
Near the Pool, Alexis says, ~We should get a Hot Tub for the Farmhouse.~
Near the Pool, Hazmat’s ears are flattened against her head.
Near the Fire Pit, Dylan drifts toward the center, listening and watching.
Near the Fire Pit, Dylan heads into the center.
At the center, Jalal looks a little strangely at Yvette.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow growls at ShadowDancer, not looking away fromteh Windy Spot, ~Later..~

You paged Eligio Sacateca with ‘Still the Caern, but the umbra?’.
Near the Pool, Stormcrow follows the Wheel north past the Pool.
Near the Pool, Jeremy heads into the center.
At the center, Jeremy heads south, away from the center of the Wheel.
On the eastern curve, Stormcrow follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Near the Fire Pit, Stormcrow circles the Wheel, arriving from the eastern curve.
Near the Fire Pit, Stormcrow follows the Wheel west, away from the fire pit.
On the northern curve, Stormcrow circles the Wheel, coming from the Fire Pit in the south.
Near the Pool, Hazmat doesn’t move from her flattened fear-stance near Alexis.
On the northern curve, Stormcrow makes his way forward along the Wheel, toward the earth mound.
Near the Pool, John Black turns around to level his eyes at the windy spot.
On the southern curve, Yvette glances at Jeremy.
On the Earth Mound, Stormcrow follows the Wheel past the Earth Mound.
On the western curve, Stormcrow follows the Wheel to the Windy Spot.
Stormcrow has arrived.
Near the Pool, Hazmat continues to shiver, too.
On the southern curve, Jeremy looks up at Yvette. ~Is there a problem?~
Dia seems to be watching something intently, knives still ready. She speaks ~Eli..this ‘s ya’s department…~
Stormcrow swiftly traverses the Wheel, stopping just inside the bounds of the Wind.

Near the Pool, ShadowDancer leans down, clamps onto Hazmat’s scruff, and carries her into the water.
Dia pages to Eligio, Sacateca, and Sepdet: Gee…we’ve gotten popular=)
At the center, Dylan looks from Shadowdancer to Hazmat to Yvette to Oscar.
Near the Pool, Hazmat yelps loudly and scrambles for purchase on the ground.
On the southern curve, Yvette growls to Jeremy, ~Yes.~
On the southern curve, Oscar shakes his head. “Again with the brawling? Sheesh. How ’bout a nice competitive bake-off or something?”
On the southern curve, Jeremy says, ~What is the problem?~
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer stands in the pool and dunks Hazmat several times.
On the southern curve, Yvette says to Oscar, ~Again with the jokes.~

Cindi nods, her long ponytail bobbing. ~Khul.~
Near the Pool, Hazmat coughs, water getting up her nose again.
Near the Pool, Alexis says “Be nice. She just doesn’t know any better yet.”
At the center, Jalal ignores everything but the events at the Windy Spot, breifly looking up to acknowledge Dylan.
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer lowers Hazmat to a solid spot near the edge of the pool and releases her. Stay
.
On the southern curve, Yvette says to Jeremy, ~This one has no respect for his elders. Perhaps if he is subdued by one of his own rank, he will learn it.~
At the center, Dylan nods distractedly to Jalal, intrigued as well.
On the southern curve, Oscar grins. “Laughter is the best medicine, and I’ll need a lot of laughing if you want to rumble with me.”
Near the Pool, Hazmat sits miserably, shivering in wet fur, ears plastered back.
Hecate nudges Dia, gently, with her muzzle. ~C’mon, kid. Yaz trippin’ hard. C’mon back, ‘kay?
~
You paged Cindi with ‘I hope I haven’t missed it in the spam.’.
From afar, Cindi nods. I wshed to do this ELSEWHERE for a reason….
Eligio Sacateca seems not to hear Dia, instead caught up in the song he is singing.
Stormcrow growls, ~Leave her…Mescalito has her. your interference is the only thing that is going to cause her harm.~

Near the Pool, John Black hears Hazmat’s yelping and turns around. He flashes a disapproving look at Shadowdancer and moves over to Hazmat.
On the southern curve, Yvette growls softly, and says to Oscar, ~You and I are equals here, but when you make fun of our elders, it is bad for all of us. And I intend to . . . rumble with you. I suggest that you’ll have a better time of it if you shift upward.~
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer sits in the water and shakes his head. This ain’t cold, kid. Y’otta try a moutain pool. THAT is cold.

Cindi blinks at Hecate, her eyes wide. Whatever she see’s, its not the Seneca Falls Emmisary. Her voice rises, weaving about Eligio’s in Mescalito’s song.
Near the Pool, Hazmat glares hatefully at SD.

Sepdet grits her teeth and whispers hoarsely ~Hecate… it’s… /needed/.~ She flinches and re-focusses her eyes into and beyond Hecate’s form.
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer Looks directly at John Black. Live with it, man. My Elder wants her wet, she’s gonna be wet.
On the southern curve, Oscar looks questioningly at Yvette, “Who have I insulted?”
Near the Pool, Alexis says, ~We’ll take you to the fire-pit, where it’s warm, once the bath is finished. I’m sorry that they’re being so insistant.~
Dia nods slowly.
From afar, Dia knows about your dreams, yes?
Hecate doesn’t appear to have heard Stormcrow. ~Dia,~ she says, firmly. ~This shit is fuckin’ you up. Listen t’me.~

Near the Pool, ShadowDancer sprawls in the water, until only his head is out of it. Warmer this way, kid. Try it.
On the southern curve, Yvette says, ~With the elder Uktena. And our Shadow Lord tribesmen. And the Red Talon she-wolf.~
Near the Pool, Hazmat snaps in SD’s direction. No.
At the center, Dylan moves to the edge of the windy spot.
On the northern curve, Warchilde emerges from the thin treeline to the north.
On the southern curve, Jeremy looks up at Yvette. ~He is Ragabash, no? It is his nature.~
At the center, Dylan says quietly ~They are in ritual, rhya. They are incircle with the dreams.~
Eligio Sacateca pages: Spam. Did I miss something you said to it after the remark that the answers are in your head?
Stormcrow growls, ~Fury…let Dia be. Your interference could cost her her spirit. Do you care to hold that on your conscience?~

Near the Pool, ShadowDancer snorts. Ya wanna be cold, your problem.
At the center, Dylan adds, ~I think you will do her harm by insisting.~
At the northern curve, Warchilde sizes up the activity at the caern silently.
You paged Eligio Sacateca with ‘Ah. no, I missed /your/ answer. :)’.
On the southern curve, Oscar sigh. “Really? I don’t recall. I do recall being threatened, intimidated, _and_ maimed by certain individuals, though.”
You paged Dia with ‘Yes. The Wheel of Birds, and the figure trying to break it.’.
On the northern curve, Warchilde heads into the center.
Near the Pool, Hazmat continues to shiver, burdened down by wet fur.
On the southern curve, Yvette snaps at Jeremy in consternation, ~Even the Ragabash must respect their elders. Oscar, I shall not hurt you — much, unless you refuse to shift.~
At the center, Warchilde heads southwest, to the spot where the winds swirl.
Warchilde has arrived.
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer shifts into Lupus form.
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer finds a comfy rock to prop his head on and rest. Maintaining a watch on Hazmat.
On the southern curve, Oscar looks at Yvette. “You really must have more important matters to deal with?”
Warchilde crouches just outside the group, the wind stirring his fur.
Sepdet breathes slower, fingers uncurling gently as she begins to relax. Her face is ice yet calm, and no one could tear her from that place she is now.
Dia pages: are you getting a separate vision? or are you seeing me talking to the spirit.
On the southern curve, Jeremy looks up calmly. ~Yes, he has insulted his elders. But it would be more of an insult to your elders to fight when they are in ritual. Later, perhaps, but not now.~
On the southern curve, Oscar looks at the gathering at the Windy Spot. “Looks like they’re trippin’ on some wild shit.”
Near the Pool, John Black looks at Shadowdancer. He speaks in English. “Did your Elder order you to -throw- . . . this Garou in the water ?”.

Dias body is still tense, almost ready to pounce. She stares ahead, though not seeing.
On the southern curve, Yvette nods thoughtfully to Jeremy, ~Truth.~
Hecate’s eyes flick to Dylan, then to Stormcrow. Lookit. I’ve done more ‘shrooms than I care t’think about. Shit’s poison. M’not gonna let th’kid poison herself.
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer nods. He told me that if *I* didn’t do it, *HE* would. And much more forcefully.
Eligio Sacateca senses “Sepdet growls. /The barrier between us and the spirit world. Someone tears it. We awoke him?/”
On the southern curve, Yvette whips out to grab Oscar.
Cindi smiles, her chin on a hand. She sits cross legged, looking like some new age bhudda. Aside from the gender.
Eligio Sacateca continues to sing, eyes glazed.
At the center, Dylan says, ~Wait until she is down before you discuss it with her, then. Do not violate the circle now, please.~
Stormcrow snorts, ~You, I suspect, do not know the ways of Mescalito *nearly* as well as Eligio. They are safe in his care.~
On the southern curve, Jeremy looks at Oscar. ~They are in ritual, contacting the spirit Mescalito. I do not know this spirit, but their actions must be particular to it, and you will show them respect.~
Warchilde sniffs the air and senses something from his companions that causes him togrowl softly.
At the center, Jalal flicks an ear in irritation at the developing row to the south.
At the center, Dylan dips his head, allowing Stormcrow to handle it.
Near the Pool, Alexis sighs. “It’s going to be hard enough to earn the trust of someone like this, without playing dominance-games with her.”
Stormcrow nods, ~ANd the cub speaks arightly. Now, at any rate, is not the time to discuss the matter.~
Warchilde heads into the center.
Warchilde has left.
At the center, Warchilde crouches near the table stone, still looking to the southwest.
At the center, Dylan heads southwest, to the spot where the winds swirl.
Dylan has arrived
.
You paged Dia with ‘No. I only see a spirit-cat, and not you, nor can I hear you.’.
At the center, Jalal nods curtly to Warchilde as he watches the events to the southwest.
Near the Pool, Hazmat drips.
Near the Pool, John Black turns away from Shadowdancer, and looks over the pool, nowhere in particular. He sighs impatiently.
On the southern curve, Oscar jumps to the side. “O.K. Cool it. Let’s go elsewhere so we don’t distrube their trip.”
On the southern curve, Jeremy says, ~No. Not trip. Ritual.~

From afar, Dia whistles, and has a black nasty thing. And I’m caught up, of course, I’m also playing the fact that I was a big time druggie for a while, and well….
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer looks up at Alexis. Look at it this way, Lexy. Either I do it this way, or Stormcrow-rhya rips her a new one, THEN throws her in. At least this way she’s not hurting
At the center, Warchilde mutters something to Jalal.

Cindi sways slightly, her voice singsong.
On the southern curve, Yvette growls in agreement. ~Very well. Elsewhere.~
On the southern curve, Oscar mutters back at Jeremy, “Yeah, right.”
Dylan shifts to lupus, trying to catch Hecate’s eyes,
Dylan contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Dylan shifts into Lupus form.
Dylan gazes intently at Hecate. Please.
Hecate growls softly, indicating Dia with a flick of one ear. Easy t’say, boyo. ‘Specially when yaz ain’t th’one who’s gonna be trynna put her mind back t’gether after she gets hooked back on th’shit.
Dia seems vaguely surprised, and her form relaxes somewhat.
Sepdet reaches out a brownscarred hand and latches onto Dia moving her hand as in a snakestrike, totally oblivious to all else.

At the center, Jalal glances at Warchilde, nodding his head slowly as he does.
Stormcrow huffs, ~With the proper ritual it is not addictive. Addiction is a tool of the Wyrm.
Stormcrow says, ~Mescalito is a spirit of Gaia.~

On the southern curve, Oscar smirks. “Yeah. You can stop anytime you want, just not right now.”
Near the Pool, Alexis says, ~Tipper, should we sit by the fire, where it’s warmer?~
On the western curve, Whiteshadow works his way free of the dense treeline to the west.
On the southern curve, Yvette growls, ~Where? You lead.~
On the western curve, Whiteshadow heads into the center.
On the southern curve, Oscar heads into the center.
Near the Pool, Hazmat looks at Alexis. Yes.
On the southern curve, Yvette heads into the center.
At the center, Jalal moves his gaze coldly to the south, for a moment.
Near the Pool, Alexis follows the Wheel north past the Pool.
Near the Pool, Hazmat follows the Wheel north past the Pool.
On the eastern curve, Alexis follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Near the Fire Pit, Alexis circles the Wheel, arriving from the eastern curve.
The cat rumbles, ~I have a song for you, little star. With it, perhaps, you may explore these mysteries inside your own head.~
On the eastern curve, Hazmat follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Near the Fire Pit, Hazmat circles the Wheel, arriving from the eastern curve.
At the center, Yvette lopes behind Oscar on all fours.
Near the Fire Pit, Alexis says, ~Oh, you should try to always circle the wheel this way, not the other way. The Spirits are picky.~
Near the Fire Pit, Hazmat sits down near Alexis and the fire. Huh?
Near the Fire Pit, Therru looks up and offers Hazmat her coat. ~Cold?~
From afar, Hecate rolls her eyes. “When Nikki dies, you know, they’re gonna smoke her ashes. Part of the character history is that she’s a cleaned up drug-user. A -heavy- user, and a creative one, too. One thing I forgot to put in her descs were track-marks, on the inside of her elbows.”
Dylan’s gaze is intense. This is /not/the/time. You will hurt her. You will hurt her. Wait till it is over.

At the center, Jalal nods, muttering something to Warchilde.
At the center, Oscar stops, noticing new faces. “Hi. Oscar Ravenloft, Shadow Lord rabash. Raw cub so the tell me.” He favors all with a congenial smile.
Dia nods.
Cindi shivers once, the disturbance distracting her from the song. She blinks rapidly.

Near the Fire Pit, Hazmat looks gratefully at Therru.
Sepdet reaches out with her free hand, whuffling her fingers as if reaching through a friends fur. She nods slightly, eyes lost and unfocussed, yet brimming still with that child’s hope that is the last thing behind all her masks.
Near the Pool, ShadowDancer follows the Wheel north past the Pool.
On the eastern curve, ShadowDancer follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Near the Fire Pit, ShadowDancer circles the Wheel, arriving from the eastern curve.
Near the Fire Pit, Therru wraps a black trenchcoat around Hazmat.
Near the Fire Pit, Alexis says, ~Walk from the pool, to the fire, to the Earth Mound, to the Windy Spot. Not backwards.~
At the center, Yvette says, ~I’m Yvette, Shadow Lord of the full moon. I am a cub as well.~
Near the Fire Pit, ShadowDancer shakes his head and shrugs.

Dia senses “Sepdet is holding onto you to anchor/ground herself, just remembering you’re somewhere out there. She doesn’t consciously know she’s doing it.”
Near the Fire Pit, Hazmat gives Therru a thankful look and SD a nasty one.
At the center, Warchilde nods in Oscar’s direction, quickly turning back to the southwest.
Near the Fire Pit, Hazmat woofs at Alexis. Another law?
Near the Fire Pit, Alexis says, ~Sort of. Just for this one place.~
Hecate shakes her head slightly, then simply sits back on her haunches, watching Dia closely. Chrissake. M’gonna hafta knock more sense inna you, aren’t I. Fuck.
At the center, Warchilde turns questioningly to Jalal
Near the Fire Pit, ShadowDancer sprawls by the fire. Ya wanna mess with Stormcrow, that’s your problem, kid.
At the center, Jalal turns his attention from the dreamers to breifly nod to the newcomers.
The cat teaches you a song, of rumbles and liquid sounds. Your song, different from Eligio’s song, one to keep close to you.
Stormcrow nods curtly, apparently satisfied, and moves toward the fire.
Stormcrow heads into the center.
Stormcrow has left.

Dias hand snakes up to place it on top of Sepdet’s. She doesn’t seem to remember or realize she still has a knife in it. Her eyes are locked in front of her, eyes sharp, intese, almost eager.
At the center, Stormcrow nods to those in teh center on his way by.
At the center, Stormcrow heads northeast to the fire pit.

Dylan nods, and moves back, out of the way, to watch.
At the center, Jalal tilts his head as Stormcrow passes.
Near the Fire Pit, Hazmat flattens her ears at Stormcrow’s approach.
Near the Fire Pit, Therru looks up, and turns her scars into the shadows.
At the center, Oscar flops to the ground, flashes Yvette a smirk, and turns to the others. “What’s going on?”
Cindi nods and says softly, “Da.” She tilts her head and ads, “It is a neccessary thing.”
At the center, Warchilde says, ~A ritual.~
At the center, Yvette glares darkly at Oscar.
You paged Dia with ‘I don’t think we need more angst with Nikki playing bitchy nursemaid, but am quite satisfied if I get a nick from that. Not as if it can’t be healed. :)’.
At the center, Yvette moves behind Oscar.
At the center, Jalal ignores the one sprawled on the ground.
At the center, Oscar shrugs. “Looks like she’s tripped.”
Near the Fire Pit, Stormcrow curls his lips in a snarl, ~You’d better learn your place, cub. I’ll turn your tail inside out for you.~
From afar, Dia needs it IC. The nursemaid bit. IC she’s still hurting from the angst from hell scene done with Nikki..its the reason she hasn’t been seen.
Dia begins to hum a tune, softly under her breath. Her low alto contradicts Eligio’s song. She falters a few times, but gains more confidence as time pregresses.
Near the Fire Pit, Hazmat snaps. You’re just like the man, a violent one, a bully.
From afar, Hecate sighs. “Sadly, tragically, Nikki backs down to avoid attacking Stormcrow and causing an even bigger distraction to you all. Bleah. I hate it when she pulls this semi-pseudo-submissive shtuff.”
At the center, Warchilde turns an icy gaze on Oscar, ~From my experience, a particularly unpredictable ritual, do not disturb~
The cat waits to see if you have learned it properly. What notes drift out are a growling tune not too much like Eligio’s.
Sepdet’s voice echoes an inner song, but the tune and words are pulled away by the winds. What notes drift out are a growling tune not too much like Eligio’s.

Near the Pool, John Black stands, watching the fire pit from the distance of the pool.
At the center, Yvette pads right up behind Oscar, and gently takes his shoulder in her mouth, her slightly yellowed fangs clamping just barely down on his flesh.
Near the Fire Pit, Stormcrow snorts, ~Hardly.. a bully would not have given you the option of ShadowDancer’s care.~
At the center, Oscar squirms. “Oh, pardon moi. Previous engagement.”
Near the Fire Pit, Hazmat merely glares hatefully.
Cindi rejoins the song, her voice a surprisingly clear soprano. It weaves against the rest, completing the chorus.
At the center, Warchilde ignores the cubs.

Eligio Sacateca senses “Sepdet’s voice is tremulous, but the notes are already dug into her memory.”
Near the Fire Pit, Stormcrow tosses the jar he took from his satchel to Alexis, ~And a bully wouldn’t give you that, whelp. Have Alexis rub it into your fur. It’ll keep teh fleas off you until you can learn to keep your sorry hide clean.~
At the center, Yvette releases Oscar’s shoulder, and whispers something in his ear.
Near the Pool, John Black breathes in sharply. He turns towards the forest and is quickly shadowed by the green and brown.
Near the Fire Pit, Hazmat growls, obviously cussing in wolf-talk.
Near the Fire Pit, Alexis smells the jar. ~Try not to lick it all off. It’ll taste bad. But it’ll stop the fleas.~
At the center, Oscar glares at Yvette and whipers back.

The cat purrs then, content. ~Good. You learn well, and fast. Use this song that you may walk through your own dreams and not be pulled along by them like a branch in a current. The answers are here…~ and it taps your head again with a soft paw. ~If you can only learn of them.~
Near the Fire Pit, Hazmat moves closer to Alexis, still eying Stormcrow distrustfully.
Near the Fire Pit, Stormcrow stoops, taking to all fours so that he can meet the ‘Gnawer’s eyes more evenly with his own glare, ~And see that yu watch your tongue. I brook no argument from uppity cubs and I have no qualms about skinning your sorry ass if you insist on mouthing off. Are we clear?~
Near the Fire Pit, Hazmat flattens herself to the ground. Yes.
Near the Fire Pit, Therru shrinks into the shadows and watches.
At the center, Yvette grins ferally to Oscar.
Near the Fire Pit, Hate and distrust continues to glare from the Gnawer’s eyes.
At the center, Jalal flicks an ear toward the cubs behind him.
Near the Fire Pit, ShadowDancer sniffs in the direction of the person who keeps trying to hide
Near the Fire Pit, Stormcrow snorts, ~We’d better be.~ He stands and heads northwards out of the caern.
At the center, Oscar stands up and slithers away.
At the center, Oscar heads south, away from the center of the Wheel.
Near the Fire Pit, Stormcrow follows the Wheel west, away from the fire pit.
On the northern curve, Stormcrow circles the Wheel, coming from the Fire Pit in the south.

Sepdet inclines her head slightly to the space of wind before her.
On the northern curve, Stormcrow turns to the north, and leaves past the rim of the Wheel.
Near the Fire Pit, Therru turns her head so her good side is toward ShadowDancer.
Near the Fire Pit, Alexis whispers quietly with Hazmat, starting to apply the flea-cure.
Near the Fire Pit, Hazmat relaxes at SC’s departure.
Dia leans forward some.
Eligio Sacateca senses “Sepdet’s eyes burn with more questions, but she holds them back, understanding they cannot be answered now.”

Near the Fire Pit, Hazmat gestures assent to Alexis, growlmuttering softly. He reminds me of the one who used to hit me all the time.
At the center, Yvette contorts and blurs as she is transformed.
At the center, Yvette shifts into Homid form.
Near the Fire Pit, ShadowDancer shakes his head. Naaah. He just doesn’t have time for babysitting.
On the southern curve, Jeremy follows the Wheel to the Pool.
Near the Pool, Jeremy follows the Wheel north past the Pool.
Near the Fire Pit, Hazmat looks balefullt at SD. How would you know?

On the eastern curve, Jeremy follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Near the Fire Pit, Jeremy circles the Wheel, arriving from the eastern curve.
Near the Fire Pit, ShadowDancer grins. Cuz we got us a war on, pup.
The cat slinks off into the forest again, leaving a single footprint in the ground in front of you. The disorientation slowly wears off, leaving a sense of fatigue and intense nausea.
Dia has relaxed her form, her face full of questions and confusions. Her knife falls unfelt to the ground as her had relaxes.
Sepdet continues to hold to a song different from Eligio’s and the others, yet blending an oddly pleasing dischord into the chant.

Near the Fire Pit, Hazmat was referring to her former “master.”
Near the Fire Pit, Jeremy looks at Hazmat. ~What Stormcrow-rhya lacks in tact he more than makes up for in wisdom and experience, and is deserving of respect. Keep this in mind and this night’s events will not be repeated. Often.~
Sepdet lets go of the song and Dia’s hand and drops to all fours, still in glabro, and touches the ground at the edge of the Wheel, then carefully curls onto her side, eyes sliding shut.
Near the Fire Pit, Hazmat’s anger has subsided somewhat under Alexis’s attentions. She doesn’t answer Jeremy.
At the center, Jalal watches the sky for a second. Lowering his muzzle to those present, he pads quietly back to his duties.

Dias form slumps as she blinks several times. She looks about, eyes starting to focus, though slowly.
Eligio Sacateca slowly lies back, eyes still wide and lets the song slowly slide off of his lips.

Hecate sighs quietly and lets the Change come, even as she lowers her muzzle to grip the collar of Dia’s jacket between her jaws. She drags the young woman, bodily, away from the windy spot.

At the center, Hecate heads southwest, to the spot where the winds swirl.
Hecate has arrived.
Eligio Sacateca turns his head to the side and retches loudly into the old soup can by his head.
Cindi looks about and then takes in the now prone Eligio. She freezes for a moment then realizes that he’s just snoring. She shakes her head and then realizes just what a mistake THAT was.
At the center, Warchilde sniffs at Dia.

Near the Fire Pit, Hazmat is no longer so cold that she can’t take notice of what’s going on in other parts of the wheel.
On the northern curve, Jace emerges from the thin treeline to the north.
At the center, Dia’s voice is weak, and her face is pale. She tries quietly to push Hecate away, though not very effectively. “Gotta…Gotta help Star. She…” She slumps slightly against Hecate, and pleades “Help her.”

cw
You turn to the center and return to the hub of the Wheel.
Center of the Great Wheel
This circular clearing is about 40 yards in diameter and completely bounded by the Wheel of Nature inscribed in the ground.  Soft green grasses cover much of the ground, but several paths have been worn to bare dirt over time.  The only landmark within the Wheel is the low Table Stone at the center, but four important landmarks make up sections of the Wheel: the windy spot to the southwest, a small pool to the southeast, a firepit to the northeast, and a large mound of earth to the northwest.

Near the Pool, Warchilde heads into the center.
Warchilde has arrived.
Song Weaver heads south, away from the center of the Wheel.

Dylan murmurs to brutus
On the southern curve, Song Weaver heads south, out of the Wheel and into the forest.

Sepdet shivers and curls up on herself, reaching out one hand.

Dylan heads southwest, to the spot where the winds swirl.
Dylan has left.

Warchilde moves forward and kneels by Sepdet, carefully giving her water from his cupped hands.
In the Windy Spot, Dylan stands uncertainly, wondering if there is anything he can do to help.
Hecate narrows her eyes, crouching over the pair. She flicks an ear in assent to Brutus.
Dia rasps “Nikki…ya c’n…Brut’s ok…” She draws her arms close to her, and starts rubbing her sides.
Jace pages: MS Can you hear me…Sepdet…can you hear me…
Brutus goes over to Sepdet and kneels down. He looks her over carefully.
In the Windy Spot, Dylan kneels, studying Eligio and Cindi carefully.

In the Windy Spot, Cindi shudders and is violently ill.
In the Windy Spot, Dylan says, ~Water.~
Brutus grumbles. ~Shit…~
In the Windy Spot, Dylan looks around for something to carry water in.

Sepdet splutters but stops retching and drinks. Her left hand still flails blindly.
Brutus says, ~Everyone’s fucked up.~
In the Windy Spot, Cindi shivers all over, closing her eyes tightly. “Make it stop.”
Jace pages: Is any of the mindspeak getting through at all?
Near the Fire Pit, Hazmat frowns at the distress of the post-visions group. Why did the visions hurt them?
Jace senses “Sepdet’s mind is a strange humming dance of song mixed with nausea and sweat. She’s still weaving inside from being moved, and wanting her sis…”
Warchilde grunts, ~That is to be expected Brutus~
Yvette has disconnected.
Oscar heads south, away from the center of the Wheel.
Oscar has left.
In the Windy Spot, Eligio Sacateca would make it stop but his head is still spinning.
Near the Fire Pit, Therru wraps her arms tightly around herself. “I don’t know. Sometimes my dreams hurt me.”

Brutus whispers “Who are you reaching for, kiddo?”
Dia curls inward, moaning softly. Her face is flushed, and beads of sweat can be seen on her forehead. She seems to try and keep out of the limelight. She is violently shivering.

In the Windy Spot, Dylan says, ~Okay.~
Brutus says, ~Make sure they don’t choke, Dylan.~
In the Windy Spot, Dylan sits back on his heels, watching carefully.
Jeremy has disconnected.
In the Windy Spot, Cindi would resent that if Alexis could at least be understood. She mutters something to herself, sittingup straight with an effor which would do her ancestresses proud.
Brutus pages: How bad off are you?
Near the Pool, Edwin steps forward, a worried look crossing his face. ~What’s wrong?~
Jace pages: MS Reach out…you’re with Dia now…
Near the Pool, Edwin heads into the center.

In the Windy Spot, Eligio Sacateca drags himself up onto his side. ~We’ll live, Brutus. Mescalito has its price.~

In the Windy Spot, Brutus kneels down to Cindi and offers her some water.
Brutus pages: Yeah. I guess so…
Dia pages: you feel some warmth coming from Dia..the beginnings of Mother’s touch caressing your body. Some of the nausea starts to fade away.

In the Windy Spot, Cindi closes her eyes and clenches the basin in both hand, drinking eagerly. She says, “Him too.”
Jace takes a tentative step closer to Dia and Sepdet.
In the Windy Spot, Brutus says, ~Dylan, make sure everyone gets all the water they need. Get some blankets and warm them up.~
Sepdet smiles quietly at nothing. ~Stop that, sis. I’ll be okay.~ Her voice is from the bottom of a well, but firm.
Dia pages: its an opium derrivative. Still highly addictive. Dia was a druggie. Gonna affect her badly..same reason Tox never takes any pain killers IC.
In the Windy Spot, Dylan says, ~Yes. Where are blankets?~
In the Windy Spot, Brutus says, ~Slow down, Cindi. You’ll drown.~
Near the Fire Pit, Therru looks over at Dylan. “Hazmat doesn’t seem to need the coat anymore. You can use it.”
In the Windy Spot, Cindi chuffs, “I’ll just…erp…surf on it, right?”
In the Windy Spot, Brutus says, ~Check the cave to the north and the promontory…~
Dia slumps down, and looks even more drained than before. She shivers, and rasps, “Cold….blanket…”

Near the Fire Pit, Hazmat woofs and shakes herself, dislodging the coat.

Warchilde backs away from the group at the center and sits down to watch.
Dia pages: But I just did mother’s touch for a measly ouple of gnosis, but hopefully it will help.
Jace senses “Sepdet’s mind is sharper now. I’m fine. Dia’s gonna hurt. Remember withdrawal from last time.”

sw
You head from the heart of the Wheel to the southwest, where the winds swirl.
Windy Spot
Something here serves to direct the air — perhaps the stately trees rising around the rim of the clearing, perhaps the smooth slab of granite beneath your feet. But no matter the cause, a wind stirs unendingly here, swirling against your back like cool fingers. Behind you, an earth mound rises starkly from the ground. Forward, a glint of light off water catches your eye.

Eligio Sacateca croaks “Evening, Porthos.”
Porthos smiles. “What did I miss?”
Sepdet squeezes Cindi’s shoulder, then sits back to watch the fuss with tired amusement, drawing the blanket around her shoulders like a cloak. Chin propped on arm on knee, she resists the temptation to help clean up and merely ponders.
Sepdet says, ~Just a mescalito rite, Porth. And Nikki having a fit over Dia bein’ in it.~
Cindi says “Peyote. Lots of it.” She looks vaguely zoned but not unhappy.”
Dylan putters around, cleaning things up as he comes to them.

Cindi snugs Porthos tightly and smiles, “Oh, and like this should let me get a grip on Edwin’s forthcomming ordeals.”
Near the Fire Pit, Therru leans her forehead on her knees and wraps her arms around her legs.
Near the Fire Pit, Hazmat looks blankly at Alexis.

Near the Pool, Hazmat looks at the water. Cold.

Hazmat cocks her head at Morgana. And the full moons are warriors, is that correct? (She sounds like she’s trying to recall a recent lesson.)

Sepdet stands awkwardly at the cave entrance, not sure if she should go away or not.
Dia shakes her head, sitting up quickly “No..Nikki..please…don’t go…”
Sepdet winces.
From afar, Dia doesn’t see you.
Dia shakes her head, and looks frustrated. She clenches her jaws, and asks, voice quietly pleading “Nikki..don’t leave me. Ya not gonna fuck things up fo’ me. I…I need you around. Please.”
Nicole sits back on her heels, maintaning the bowed-head position. “If I stay, M’gonna hafta tell. I donna wanna do that.” She sniffs again, and brushes the back of one hand across her eyes.
